Y Stori / The Story
Rwyf wastad wedi caru cerameg. Mae rhywbeth arbennig am greu rhywbeth parhaol â'ch dwylo eich hun – rhywbeth sy'n cael ei ddefnyddio, ei drysori a'i drosglwyddo ymlaen. Yn ystod fy nghyfnod mamolaeth, penderfynais roi cynnig ar y grefft fy hun. Yn bennaf allan o chwilfrydedd i ddechrau, ond yn fuan iawn daeth yn angerdd. Dysgais y rhan fwyaf drwy arbrofi, gwneud camgymeriadau, a threulio oriau di-ri yn y stiwdio. Ers hynny, nid wyf wedi gallu stopio. Mae fy ngwaith wedi'i ysbrydoli'n fawr gan Gymru – ein tirweddau, ein hanes, ein hiaith a'n cymunedau. Mae'r tai bach seramig wedi dod yn rhan arbennig o'r casgliad, gan adlewyrchu'r syniad o gartref, perthyn a'r straeon sy'n byw o fewn ein waliau. Mae'r cysyniad o hiraeth wrth galon llawer o'r hyn rwy'n ei greu. Y teimlad hwnnw o gysylltiad â lle, atgofion a phobl sy'n bwysig i ni. Gobeithiaf fod pob darn yn dod â mymryn o'r cynhesrwydd hwnnw i gartref rhywun arall.
I've always loved ceramics. There is something special about creating something lasting with your own hands – something that is used, cherished, and passed down through generations. During my maternity leave, I decided to try pottery for myself. What started as curiosity soon became a passion. I taught myself through experimentation, plenty of mistakes, and countless hours in the studio. Since then, I simply haven't been able to stop. My work is deeply inspired by Wales – its landscapes, history, language, and communities. The ceramic houses that have become a signature part of my collection reflect my love of home, belonging, and the stories held within the places we treasure. The Welsh concept of hiraeth lies at the heart of much of what I create – a deep connection to place, memories, and the people we hold dear. Through my ceramics, I hope to bring a little of that warmth, comfort, and meaning into the homes of others.
